Yield of Remy Cointreau exceeds forecasts


Following the results of the first half of 2018, the operating profit of the French alcohol producer, Remy Cointreau, grew by 10% and reached 138 million euros, which was higher than the experts' forecast of 132 million euros. Sales and cost control increased the company's profitability by almost 1%. The increase in the cost of Remy Cointreau above market forecasts contributed to a new strategy of its leadership, consisting in the transition to more expensive drinks. This strategy has helped the company increase its sales. Now, the French manufacturer prioritizes brandy and other beverages, the price of which is $50 or more. During the morning trading on Thursday, shares of the company rose 0.7%.
