Sales of “smart” watches and bracelets by the Chinese company, Xiaomi, grew in the third quarter by 90.9% in annual terms and reached 6 million 900 thousand devices. According to International Data Corporation, thanks to such a significant increase in wearable devices, Xiaomi has become the global leader in this indicator, overtaking Apple. Sales of the American corporation amounted to 4 million 200 thousand devices, having increased by 54% in the third quarter. Last year's leader, American Fitbit, reduced sales by 3.1% and ranked third with 3.5 million devices. The 4th place was taken by the Chinese Huawei, the 5th – by South Korean Samsung. A total of 32 million such devices were sold in the global market in the third quarter, which is 21.7% more than a year earlier.
