The Semiconductor Industry Association reported that global semiconductor sales in February amounted to $36 billion 770 million, which is 10.6% less than a year earlier. The Association has noted a drop in sales for two months in a row, which happens after record levels in the previous three years. Compared to the previous month, the decline in microprocessor sales for the year was 7.3%. A decrease was observed in all major product categories and in all major regional markets. The largest decline in the year - by 22.9% was recorded in the North and South America region. The decline in China was by 8.5%. In Europe, sales fell by 3%, in Japan - by 5.9%.
