The Federation of the Swiss watch industry published data on the dynamics of watch exports from Switzerland in April, recording the first decline in four months. A total amount of Swiss watches shipped abroad is 1.755 billion Swiss francs. Their volume decreased by 0.4% due to weaker demand for models of the lower price segment. Watches worth less than 200 francs were exported 24% less than in March. The Federation reported a decrease in the supply of Swiss watches to Hong Kong by 3.9%, to China - by 5.5%. At the same time, supplies to the USA, Japan, Singapore, Germany and Russia increased. The largest increase in exports was observed in Japan, where the figure increased by 21.2%.
