US stocks record its lowest 2019 rate

US stocks Dow slid 961 points on Monday, its worst stocks rate for the entire year thus far. It was not just its lowest rate of the year; it was also its 6th lowest point drop in the stock exchange annals.

The Dow decreased to 2.9% (767 points), falling below 2,600 points for the first time since June. It has also dropped five consecutive sessions, something that has not happened since March.

The Dow was not going deep down solo, however, as the S&P 500 fell 3% - tallying its lowest rate of the year as well. It has also been down six consecutive times and its first series of a slump since October 2018.
