The head of Uber, Dara Khosrowshahi, announced the plans of the American company to introduce an additional charge to passengers, called the “fresh air fee.” The company is taking this step to help taxi drivers in London buy electric cars by 2021. The introduction of additional fees will lead to the fact that the cost of travel by taxi in the British capital will increase by an average of 45 cents. Uber plans to switch to electric vehicles by 2021, completely abandoning cars with a gasoline engine. The company intends in the future through the Uber app to offer people such mobility options as cars, bicycles, scooters and public transport.
