The French oil and gas company Total reported that it discovered a large natural gas field at the Glendronach site in the British part of the North Sea. Total specialists estimated its recoverable reserves at 1 trillion cubic feet. The company conducted preliminary studies of the gas-bearing layer, which showed its good quality and permeability. The new field is open near a Glendronach site, 60% of which are controlled by Total, so the company will be able to use the existing infrastructure, and this will allow it to quickly proceed to commercial production at the new field.
