South African diamond-mining company Petra Diamonds in the 2018 financial year ended June 30, increased diamond production by 15% to 4 million 610 thousand carats, which coincided with the forecast. In physical terms, sales increased by 14% to 4 million 550 thousand carats, in value terms - by 21% to 576 million dollars. Previously, Petra Diamonds announced that it intends to sell its stake in the joint venture Kimberley Ekapa Mining of Ekapa Mining for 300 million African rands. Excluding Kimberley Ekapa Mining, sales of Petra Diamonds and its production grew by 19%. Revenue amounted to 495 million dollars, increased by 25%.
