The growth of industrial production in the UK slowed in July


In July of this year, industrial production in the UK increased by 0.1% in monthly terms, according to the Office for National Statistics. The growth of the indicator slowed down compared to the rise of 0.4% in June. Experts had predicted an increase of 0.2%. In annual terms, industrial production growth in July was 0.9%, while analysts had predicted 1.1%. In monthly terms, the most significant drop was recorded in the pharmaceutical industry, where the indicator fell by 7.5%. The decline in the manufacturing industry was 0.2%. At the same time, the oil and gas industry showed an increase in production by 5%.
