The Swiss Swatch Group, the world's largest watch manufacturer, in the first half of 2018 increased its net profit by 66.5% to 468 million Swiss francs. Operating profit amounted to a record since 2015 629 million francs, increases by 70%. Experts had expected the figure at 612 million francs. The growth of indicators was due to the active demand for watches in Asia. The company increased revenue by 14.7% to 4 billion 270 million francs for six months. Profitability by the operating profit rose to 14.7% from 10% a year earlier, by the net profit - to 11% from 7.6%. Capitalization of the Swatch Group since the beginning of the year increased by 20% to 24 billion 900 million francs.
