South Korea agreed with the United States on the continuation of purchases of Iranian oil after the imposition of sanctions

South Korea managed to get permission from the United States to continue oil imports from Iran after the introduction of the second part of the US sanctions, Bloomberg writes, referring to sources in senior government circles in South Korea. As previously reported by the Indian newspaper Economic Times, India was also able to obtain permission provided that the funds paid by India for oil from Iran would be kept on a special account for the entire duration of the sanctions. It is reported that European countries are working on the creation of a special financial mechanism to circumvent US sanctions against Iran.
