Sales of new homes in the US amounted to 629 thousand in August this year, having increased by 3.5% compared to the previous month, the country's Ministry of Trade reported. Analysts had expected the figure at 630 thousand houses. On average, the new house was sold in August at a price of 320 dollars 20 cents. The growth in the average price relative to the same month last year was 1.9%. At the end of August, the number of new homes in the US market was 318 thousand. This is the maximum value since February 2009.
