The Rio Tinto group, which is one of the three largest mining companies in the world, reported that in the second quarter of this year it increased its iron ore production by 1% to 72 million 300 thousand tons. The extraction of copper increased by 13% to 156 thousand 800 tons. The production of aluminum grew by 1% over the reporting period and amounted to 858 thousand tons. Rio Tinto is engaged in exploration, extraction and processing of mineral resources. Basically it is aluminum, copper, diamonds, coal, uranium, gold, industrial minerals and iron ore.
