The manufacturing activity index in Italy for the first time since August 2016 dropped below 50 points in October of the current year, IHS Markit reported. In October, the decline in production was the most significant in the country over the past 4 years. The decline is observed for the past three months in a row. Production activity and the number of new orders fall amid a decline in global forecast and political instability. In this situation, the Italian authorities have increased the expenditure part of the draft budget, but the European Union said that the project needed follow-up revision.
