Nestle shares climbed to historic highs thanks to good financial results


Swiss food manufacturer Nestle reported that in the fourth quarter, its organic sales growth accelerated to 3.7% from 2.8% in the first 9 months and exceeded the increase expected by experts by 3.5%. At the end of 2018, the figure increased by 3%. Net income amounted to 10 billion 100 million Swiss kroner, having jumped over the year by 42%, reported. The company was able to achieve good quarterly and annual results due to improved performance in China and North America. The improved performance of the baby food business also played a positive role. Positive reporting has affected the shares of Nestle, the value of which during trading on Thursday rose by almost 3%.
