In 2018, Magma agency predicts the increase in world advertising costs growth to 6.4% from 4.1% last year. The forecast takes into account the costs of such cyclical activities as the Olympic Games and the World Cup. According to the agency, the costs will total $551 billion. Magna revised its forecast from 5.2% upwards due to a significant increase in the costs of Google and Facebook from advertising in the first quarter. In all segments of digital advertising, which this year will account for almost half of total costs, spending will grow by 16% to $250 billion. The market for all types of advertising in the US will grow by 8% to $207 billion.
