French company LVMH, which produces luxury goods and owns the Bulgari hotel brand, announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire the British hotel operator Belmond for $2,600 million, finversia.ru writes. The offer in the amount of 25 dollars for each Belmond share is 42% higher than its quotes at the end of trading on Thursday. Belmond manages 36 hotels, as well as the world-famous 21st Club Restaurant. In addition, Belmond provides river cruise services in Europe and Asia and offers trips on an express train plying between Venice and London.
