The world's largest producer of health products, Johnson & Johnson, reported an increase in net profit in the third quarter by 4.6% in annual terms to 3 billion 934 million dollars. Adjusted earnings were 2 dollars 5 cents per share, while experts had predicted 2 dollars 3 cents per share. Revenues reached $20 billion 300 million, exceeding economists' estimates of $20 billion 100 million. The pharmaceutical division increased quarterly sales by 6.7%. Growth in sales of consumer goods was 1.8%. Sales of medical devices rose 0.2%.
