Japanese corporation Orix reported that it had reached an agreement to acquire a 30-percent stake in Irish company Avolon Holdings, which is engaged in aircraft leasing, from China's HNA Group for 2 billion 210 million dollars. The deal will be one of the largest in the history of Orix. It is reported that the operations of the two companies will not unite, but Orix expects to use Avolon's ability to place large orders with aircraft manufacturers directly. The deal is expected to be completed by November this year.
