American insurance corporation Centene acquires its competitor WellCare Health Plans. According to Reuters, the company confirmed this information. The transaction is estimated at 15 billion 270 million dollars, which the American insurer will pay in cash and shares. According to analysts, the successful completion of the transaction will allow Centere to strengthen its position in the US market and more confidently compete with insurers such as the UnitedHealth Group and CVS Health Corporation. The number of its clients will grow to 22 million people. The company also expects that by the second year after completing the transaction, it will be able to save about $500 million a year.
