Inflation in France was 1.3% in February


In February, consumer price growth in France, according to national standards, accelerated in annual terms to 1.3% from 1.2% in January, and in monthly terms, prices remained unchanged. This is evidenced by the final report of Insee. February figures confirmed the forecasts of economists. The annual increase in food prices was 3.1%. In January, they fell by 2.7%. Energy prices went up by 3.2%, accelerating the increase in cost compared with an increase of 1.9% a month earlier. Prices for clothes and shoes increased by 0.8%. The February growth in the cost of services slowed to 0.9% from 1%. Consumer price growth according to EU standards in annual terms was at the level of 1.6%. In monthly terms, they increased by 0.1%.
