Industrial orders in the UK slowed their growth in August

The balance of industrial orders in the UK fell in August to 7 points from 11 points a month earlier, a survey of British manufacturers conducted by the Confederation of British Industry showed. 31% of producers pointed at the increase in the volume of orders above the norm, 23% reported decrease in the number of orders below the norm. 21% of respondents noted an increase in production three months before August. Head of Economic Intelligence of CBI Anna Leach said: “If the Brexit deal is not concluded, it can cause huge damage not only to British producers, but to the rest of the EU countries.”
