Hong Kong International Airport serviced in July a record 6 million 700 thousand passengers, according to a press release from the airport. The July figure was 2.2% higher than in July 2017. The number of takeoff and landing operations amounted to 36 thousand 685, increased by 1.1%. The indicator of the received and sent aircraft became also a historical maximum. At the same time, the volume of postal and freight traffic amounted to 433 thousand tons, practically remaining unchanged. The number of travels, committed by local residents in July, increased by 8%. The most significant increase in the number of travelers was observed on flights to and from mainland China, Japan and Europe.
