In the first quarter of 2018, global supplies of virtual reality headsets increased by 16% year-on-year to 650,000 units, experts from Canalys said. The growth in supply was facilitated by the high demand for standalone VR headsets in selected regional markets. By the end of 2017, the growth in supplies in China was 200%. The volume of supplies of HTC Vice Focus and Pico Neo models in the first quarter of 2018 increased by 234% in annual terms. The leader in the supply of VR gadgets is the US with a market share of about 31%. The share of China was 28%. Experts predict further growth in the segment of VR-models, which will contribute to the international release of new products of this type from Oculus and Lenovo.
