Facebook may face a $5 billion fine, The Wall Street Journal reports. The US Federal Trade Commission has accused the company of leaking user data. An investigation has shown that in 2018, the British company Cambridge Analytica received data on 87 million users. The amount of the fine can be at the record level among technology companies. Facebook has not yet commented on the situation.
