The export of watches from Switzerland in June grew by 11.8% to 1 billion 940 million Swiss francs, according to the Federation of the Swiss watch industry. The growth rate is observed for 14 consecutive months. The growth rate in June was accelerated due to a significant increase in demand in France, Hong Kong and Japan. Exports to France increased by an annualized rate of 40.9%, to Hong Kong - by 39.2%, to Japan - by 31.8%. Shipments of Swiss watches to the US also grew - by 5.7%, to China - by 4.1%, to Russia - by 6.8%. In the first half of the year, Swiss watch exports increased by 11% to 10.5 billion francs, exceeding 10 billion francs for the first time since 2015. The semi-annual growth was the most significant for 6 years.
