One of the main parameters for assessing economic activity in China is the consumption of electricity in the country. This figure in April 2018 compared with the same month last year increased by 7.8% and amounted to 521 billion 700 million kilowatt-hours, according to the State Department of Energy of the PRC. Demand for electricity in the services sector and in agriculture increased by 10.8%, in the industrial sector - by 7.2%. In the first four months of 2018, electricity consumption amounted to 2 trillion 100 billion kilowatt-hours, increased by 9.3%.
