The forecast of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the growth of Kazakhstan’s GDP remained unchanged. It assumes the growth of the economy of Kazakhstan in 2019 by 3.5%, in 2020 - by 4.1%. At the end of 2018, the country recorded an economic growth of 4.1%, helped by indicators of exports and consumption. The EBRD expects that this year private consumption will continue to be stimulated by the growth of real incomes and consumer lending. The EBRD noted a slight acceleration in GDP growth in Central Asia last year - to 4.8% from 4.7% a year earlier. The main contribution to the increase in growth was made by the economies of Uzbekistan and Mongolia. According to the bank's estimates, this year the economy of Central Asia will show an increase of 4.4%, and next year its growth will slow to 4.2%.
