Report of Danone, the French manufacturer of dairy products, showed that in 2018 its net profit fell by 4.1%, reaching 2 billion 349 million euros. Operating profit of 2 billion 741 million euros marked a further decline, falling by 26.5%. Over the earnings period, the company reduced sales by 0.7% and increased comparable sales by 2.9%. Sales fell in most regions, except for Europe and North America, where the figure rose by 3.5%. Sales in the fourth quarter decreased by 2.1% in annual terms and amounted to 6 billion 9 million euros. In the message, Danone notes that its indicators were negatively affected by such factors as the consumer boycott in Morocco and changes in exchange rates.
