German automaker Daimler reported a decrease in profit forecast in 2018 after it had announced a possible decrease in sales this year due to the expected introduction of additional duties by China on cars produced by American automakers. In addition, Daimler expects an increase in costs amid accusations about the lowering of CO2 emissions in diesel cars. In the third quarter, Daimler's profit before interest and taxes decreased to 2 billion 490 million euros from 3 billion 410 million euros in the same period a year earlier. The decline in the quarterly indicator was recorded in the division of Mercedes-Bens Cars, as well as in the divisions that produce trucks and buses.
