The US consumer goods producer Colgate-Palmolive in the second quarter increased its revenue by 1.6% year-on-year to $3 billion 886 million. Analysts had expected growth of up to 3 billion 916 million dollars. Net income was $637 million, increased by 21.6%. Adjusted earnings were 77 cents per share, coinciding with analysts' forecasts. The revenue of the unit for the production of oral care products, household chemicals and personal care items increased by $40 million, the unit for the production of pet products – by $20 million. Sales around the world in physical terms rose by 1.5%, the company's product prices did not change compared to last year.
