The world's largest mobile operator, China Mobile, in the first half of the year, increased its net profit by 4.7% year-on-year to 65.64 billion yuan, driven by revenue growth. Analysts had predicted a figure of 64 billion 100 million yuan. The semi-annual revenue increased to 391 billion 830 million yuan from 388 billion 870 million yuan a year earlier. The company increased the number of customers using 4G networks by 27 million 320 thousand people to 680 million customers. The share of China Mobile in the wireless market in China currently exceeds 50%.
