In May this year, production of cars in the UK increased by 1.3% in annual terms to 137 thousand 225 units due to domestic demand, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said. The production for domestic buyers increased by 12.8%. At the same time, the export issue decreased by 1.5%. For foreign markets, 107 thousand 307 cars were produced, which accounted for 78.2% of the total production of cars in the country. Executive Director at SMMT, Mike Hawes, noted that to continue the growth of production, it is necessary to create conditions that will allow car factories to attract future investments.
