CapitaLand and Ascendas-Singbridge create a giant in the Asian real estate market


Asian developer CapitaLand will sign an agreement with Ascendas-Singbridge, Temasec’s subsidiary, on the purchase of two subsidiaries. The agreement will create the largest diversified real estate group in Asia. The value of company's assets will exceed $85.79 billion, which will allow CapitaLand to be among the top ten global investment managers. The deal will take effect after approval at a meeting of shareholders of the company, which will be held in 2019. After completion of the deal, the share of Temasec in CapitaLand will increase to 51% from 40.8%, and the presence of CapitaLand in the market will expand to the limits of 180 cities in 32 countries.
