BP increased quarterly profits 3-fold

British oil company BP in the second quarter increased the adjusted by cost of reserves replacement profits 3.2 times in annual terms to 1 billion 789 million dollars due to higher oil prices and increased production. According to the results of the first half of the year, the indicator grew 2.1 times and amounted to 4 billion 178 million dollars. The base profit for the second quarter grew 4 times to 2 billion 820 million dollars, for half a year - 2.5 times to 5 billion 408 million dollars. In the exploration and production segment, the base profit has reached a record $3 billion 510 million from 2014. The total volume of hydrocarbon production increased by 1.4% in the second quarter and by 5.2% in the first half of the year.
