Consumer prices in the countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development rose 2.3% in annual terms in March, compared to a rise of 2.2% a month earlier. The price of energy carriers increased by 5.3%, food - by 1.7%. Excluding food and energy prices, inflation accelerated to 2% in March from 1.9% in February. Strengthening of the growth rates of consumer prices was recorded in France, Italy, Germany, the United States and Canada. Slowing of the inflation was noted in Japan and the UK. In 19 eurozone countries, inflation accelerated from 1.1% to 1.3%. Consumer prices in the G20 countries increased by 2.8% against growth of 2.9% a month earlier.
