The American cosmetics company, Avon Products, which operates in more than 100 countries around the world, following the results of the first nine months, reported a net profit of $55,700,000, whereas a year earlier it had a loss of $70,400,000. Revenues amounted to 4 billion 170 million dollars, an increase of 1%. During the earnings period, the company reduced sales by 3% to 3 billion 925 million dollars. Avon also reported net profit growth nearly 10 times in the third quarter. The quarterly figure was 113 million 800 thousand dollars. Revenue increased by almost 1% to 1 billion 424 million dollars, sales decreased by 2% to 1 billion 346 million dollars.
